Even if you haven’t heard of Neuzz, odds are you’ve seen his work. From rundown walls to upscale galleries and magazine covers, his murals and illustrations are on display around the world. Born and raised in Mexico City, Neuzz attributes his unique style largely to his Zapotec roots and the stories his grandfather told him growing up that blurred the lines between reality and fantasy. We visited his studio in Ciudad Nezahualcoyotl and talked about his influences and what it’s like to work in one of Mexico City’s roughest neighborhoods.
